Dear friend,

this year passes quickly and sunshine & rain, calm & storm, heat & cold change quickly and we have a lot of work to fullfil. The preparation and planning for this year’s sequel to the RIVER TALES festival are already in full swing. After winning the Ab in the middle price on April 17th again after 2017, we can not wait to present you the complete line up and program 2018 soon. We also have a jubilee to celebrate this year: 20 years 3steps – wow, how time flies. The first prelude to our birthday we start with the exhibition “A Piece Of Home”. As part of the show, we return to the origin of our place of activity in the city of Linden. The Vernissage is on June 13, 2018, we look forward to your coming. Last but not least, the new European General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) became binding on 25 May. In order to know that we handle your data carefully, there are a few important pieces of information.

A Piece Of Home | Opening reception 13th of June 2018 | Gallery in the Town Hall of Linden

The exhibition “A Piece of Home” brings the 3Steps collective back to their origins and into the city, where some of their first works were created 20 years ago. As part of the 150th Anniversary cycle of the gallery of the city hall of the city of Linden 3Steps show next to new works also a small retrospective. This gives an overview of the complexity of the portfolio and also reveals unknown studio work. In its current creative phase, the group is dedicated to the term AMBIVALENCE. In doing so, the collective questions the ambiguity of objects, facts and situations People. The works are supposed to evoke new associations in the viewer, to let him see everyday things with different eyes in order to question what he has seen. What is reality, what is Fiction? What do we feel and think intrinsically?

The artists are present. Following the vernissage takes place a standing reception in the meeting room of the “Lindener Ratsstuben”.

CITY TALES | a RIVER TALES Episode | Giessen

CITY TALES tells the stories of the city of Gießen. Art on the facades and walls should open people’s eyes to the beautiful in your city. For this year’s RIVER TALES we were again able to get the “down in the middle” trophy to Giessen, this time with a top prize. According to the “bigger is better” approach, we will be offering other top street art and mural art stars this year. As always, the festival is tightly calculated and dependent on your support.
